Mary Ann McCracken was a remarkable abolitionist, philanthropist and social reformer. To mark Mary Ann’s birth, and in recognition of her own cultural endeavours, the Foundation have engaged renowned poets Ruth Carr and Raquel McKee to explore Mary Ann’s life and contemporary relevance through poetry. The audience will hear recitals of original works and have the opportunity to contribute to discussions between poems.
