The content of our tours are suitable for all ages, unless otherwise specified. The entrance to Clifton House, and toilet facilities, are accessible by stairs. We ask that Children are supervised at all times. Please find out more about accessibility to our building here.

What to Expect

Clifton House housed over 250 children when it was Belfast’s original Poor House. Stories of what life was like in the poor house for children and families are woven in to our tours.

Although we don’t have food and drink facilities on site, we are a stone through away from a wide range of eateries and coffee shops and our short tours will give you ample time to explore other destinations in North Belfast.

Getting Here

The entrance to Clifton House is on North Queen Street.  It is very well connected by main arterial routes coming into the city. There is a free onsite car park available for visitors.

It is also well connected by bus, including a stop on the Hop on Hop Off Belfast Sightseeing Bus.  For more information, see our Contact Us page.
