FAMILY VISITS
Clifton House housed over 250 children when it was Belfast’s Poor House. Stories of what life was like for those children and families are woven into our tours. You will hear about what they would have worn, what they would have eaten and the schooling and work they would have been made to do. Your children will be delighted to be born in this century!
Although we don’t have food and drink facilities on site, we are a stone throw away from a wide range of eateries and coffee shops and our short tours will give you ample time to explore other destinations in North Belfast.
The content of our tours are suitable for all ages, unless otherwise specified, although our recommended age is 8+. The entrance to Clifton House, and toilet facilities, are accessible by stairs. We ask that children are supervised at all times. Please find out more about accessibility to our building here.
