Representatives from Clifton House attended the third annual Embrace the Inclusive Spirit conference on Tuesday 17th February at Titanic Belfast. The event brought together inspiring voices and practical insights to help organisations create more welcoming, inclusive experiences for disabled visitors.
Hosted by Jamie Shields of Disabled by Society, with fantastic contributions from Emer Maguire and Cathelijne Denekamp of the Rijksmuseum, it was an incredibly informative and motivating morning.
Clifton House were also proud to be commended within the awards for the work they have done so far — from introducing BSL-signed and interpreted tours to expanding accessibility information on our website (https://cliftonbelfast.com/visit/accessibility/)
Today reminded us how far we’ve come, but also how far we still have to go. As Jamie Shields said: “Progress, not perfection.”
We’re proud of the steps taken so far and are committed to going further. This year we’ve already planned staff and volunteer training with RNIB Northern Ireland to better support visitors with sight loss.
Thank you for your patience and support as we continue improving our experiences for people with disabilities.
