Be warmly welcomed by Mary Ann McCracken before embarking on a short 30 minute guided journey through the social history of the Poor House, exploring the lives of the people who sought sanctuary here and discovering a legacy shaped by compassion, reform and resilience.
Opened in 1774, Clifton House provided shelter and support to thousands of people over the centuries — from young children and older citizens to local residents and passing sailors.
Come and uncover the history, hear the stories, and experience the enduring legacy of one of Belfast’s most significant historic buildings.
Tours run at 4:00pm, 4:45pm, 5:30pm and 6:15pm. Numbers limited so booking is essential.
